Week 10

In this week we started to prepare the country presentations. We choose Nigeria as the country we would talk about. In the class we did a PowerPoint presentation, that was the one that we would expose, and a written document. We started with the presentation. We did this because the presentations don’t need much text and we only put ideas in every slide. The ideas helped to gives us a guide about what we would talk about and what we would write in the written document.

We have the activity related to music. Again, we were able to choose any country that wasn’t USA. I choose Jamaica for the great history of music this country has. Many people when they hear about Jamaica and music the first thing that they think is Bob Marley and the reggae style of music. In this activity I discovered a lot of artist I was fan and didn’t know they were from Jamaica. Looking about other country’s culture is interesting and looking to their music and how Jamaica revolutionized the music with reggae is very interesting.

We also had a mega quiz, I wasn’t prepared for that. Luckily it wasn’t difficult and many of the questions could be answered with logic.
